President of Lebanon Michel Sleiman slammed Sunday the early morning rocket attacks that struck the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital, describing the perpetrators as “terrorists, reported the Daily Star.

“President Michel Sleiman denounced the launching of two rockets on the southern suburb this morning, describing those behind the incident as terrorist saboteurs who do not want peace and stability for Lebanon or the Lebanese,” a statement from his office said.

Sleiman urged authorities to intensify their investigations to apprehend the suspects as soon as possible.
