A massive sandstorm hit Iran's capital Tehran on Monday, killing four and wounding 30, Iran's official news agency IRNA reported.
Three people were crushed to death by uprooted trees and another fell off a roof as intense gusts of wind reached 110 kilometers per hour, damaging buildings and knocking out power lines across the city, the agency said.
Uprooted trees also blocked traffic in as many as 40 points across the city, and air traffic was temporarily disrupted as well, IRNA said.
Meteorologists have warned of a new sandstorm that could hit the city during the week.Last Mod: 03 Haziran 2014, 09:35
