After the minor cabinet reshuffle in Syria on February 9, the new government convened for the first time.

Syrian ministers of finance, labour, social affairs and agriculture began their duties after sworn-in ceremony before Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Assad who came together with members of the government after the sworn-in ceremony and said, "The current situation grew the expectation of public."

He added, "Expectations of citizens bring extra responsibilities to ministries and public institutions. The ones who target Syria, targets our people systematically."

Furthermore, Syrian Prime Minister Wael el-Halaki thanked President Assad for his trust and added that he will do his best to support the army to cleanup "terrorists".
