Nine Lebanese kidnapped in Syrian town Azez, arrived in Beirut International Airport via a Qatari private airplane.

The Lebanese, who were received by Turkey on Friday after being released, arrived in Beirut in company of Lebanese top security official Abbas Ibrahim.

Live video from Lebanese television showed a Qatari jet landing at Beirut International Airport and Lebanese officials lining up to greet the men.

Nine Lebanese citizens were held hostage in northern Syria since May 2012.

Qatari officials negotiated the release of the men in a deal that simultaneously secured the freedom of two Turkish pilots taken in a retaliatory kidnapping in August 2013.
