Dana Sleiman, spokesperson for United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Lebanon, has said that the number of Syrians who took refugee in Lebanon reached 305,000.
Sleiman told AA on Friday that approximately 2,000 Syrians entered Lebanon everyday, adding that the number of Syrians already exceeded the figure (300,000) which had been predicted to reach by the middle of 2013.
UNHCR had envisaged that the number of Syrian refugees in Lebanon would increase to 300,000 in the first half of 2013.
Sleiman said that UNHCR was cooperating with Lebanese government regarding the construction of temporary refugee camps in the north of the country.Last Mod: 22 Şubat 2013, 17:41
