Two Omani Royal Air Forces fighter jets on Thursday collided and crashed in Rakhyut city of the southern Dhofar Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman, killing 1 pilot and wounding the other.
The Defense Ministry of Oman said in a statement that two Jaguar fighter jets belonging to the Royal Air Force of Oman crashed in the air during a training mission in Rakhyut.
The crash claimed the life of Flight Lieutenant Al Azhar bin Humaid bin Hamad al Shraiqi, while the pilot of the second warcraft was wounded in the crash, a ministry spokesman said.
No damage was reported in the uninhabited area as officials are continuing efforts at the crime scene to shed light on the accident.Last Mod: 12 Eylül 2013, 14:01
