The Syrian opposition on Saturday called on the Assad regime to build bridges of trust before the Geneva peace conference to end Syria's over two and a half year civil war.
Fayez Sarah, political and press adviser of Syrian National Coalition President Ahmad Jarba, told Anadolu Agency that the Syrian regime needed to take steps to solve the conflict in the country.
"These steps include the release of prisoners and lifting of the siege which will create a positive atmosphere for the Geneva 2 Conference to reach its goal."
There must be no preconditions to attend the conference as the Geneva 2 Conference will be held upon the decisions made in the first conference, said Sarah.Last Mod: 20 Ekim 2013, 09:43
