The head of the Syrian National Coalition opposition group, Ahmed Jarba, has paid a visit to the Syrian Turkmen fronts in the northern Syrian region of Bayirbucak.
Speaking of his visit to Al Jazeera Turk, Jarba said that the morale of opposition forces in the region was high, promising to increase the coalition's support for them.
'The Turkmen's have given many martyrs for this revolution,' he said as he was being escorted around the camps by members of the Syrian National Turkmen bloc.
The Syrian Turkmens have been playing a key role in the advances of local opposition forces in and around the Bayirbucak district of the Mediterranean coastal region of Lazkiya.
Last week, rebel forces evicted the regime from their last border post with Turkey in the largely Armenian town of Kasab.Last Mod: 02 Nisan 2014, 12:15
