Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said that nearly 50.5 million Iranian citizens were eligible to vote in the upcoming presidential election on June 14.
Najjar said that 1.6 million people would vote for the first time and that 130 thousand ballot boxes in and 285 outside Iran will be available.
Najjar noted that the Interior Ministry were prepared for the election and has even taken preparatory measures for a potential second round in the presidential election.
Iranians will go to the polls in the nation’s 11th presidential election on June 14.
