Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will pay official visits to China in May. "China's reception of Palestinian and Israeli leaders' visits is part of the country's efforts to support the Middle East peace process and both sides' efforts to resolve differences and disputes through peace talks," Hua Chunying, the spokeswoman for China's Foreign Ministry, said at a daily press briefing on Thursday.
Palestinian President Abbas will pay a state visit to China from May 5 to 7 at the invitation of President Xi Jinping.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will pay an official visit to China as a guest of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang from May 6 to 10.
"Palestinian issue is at the core of Middle East issues. Under the current situation, China would like to work with the international community to play an active and constructive role in seeking the comprehensive and fair settlement of the Palestinian issue" Hua said.Last Mod: 02 Mayıs 2013, 17:28
