Palestinians fired rocket into Israel after Hamas targets are hit by Israeli warplanes during Eid al-Fitr holiday.

It caused no injuries or damage.

The projectile into southern Israel on Friday comes just hours after Israeli warplanes carried out a series of raids across the coastal strip.

They said a Hamas security compound in Gaza City, a Hamas training camps in the north of the coastal territory, a tunnel in the south along the border with Egypt were hit by the Israeli aircraft.

Israel's daily newspaper Haaretz cited Hamas sources reporting five were injured when Israeli fighter jest hit a training center in Gaza City.

Israel also mounted air strikes in the north and in the southern border city of Rafah, targeting a smuggling tunnel.

The raids came after a rocket and mortar round were fired into southern Israel on Thursday, causing neither damage nor casualties.
