Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin was in the Syrian capital Damascus where he met with Syrian regime leader Bashar al-Assad on Saturday.
Rogozin said that he was finishing his meeting with Assad on his Twitter account, sharing a picture taken together.
The Russian official said that he had discussed Syria's upcoming elections with Assad as well as Sunday's election in Ukraine.
Russia had earlier on Saturday announced plans to ship 12 MiG-29M/M2 fighter planes to Syria in 2016-2017 in accordance with an agreement signed in 2007.Last Mod: 24 Mayıs 2014, 17:11
