Interim President of the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces George Sabra urged the United Nations to establish a humanitarian aid corridor in Syria.
Sabra, on SNC's official web-site, called on the UN to hold an emergency session in order to establish a UN-inspected humanitarian aid corridor in Syria to help wounded people receiving treatment abroad.
Stressing the ongoing violence in Qusayr town of western Homs province as well as across Syria, Sabra said "with its foreign supporters, Assad regime launches attacks to wipe off the region. Experienced Iranian warriors and Hezbollah militants have been coming to Syria for months to join the fight. Our borders and sovereignty are being violated. The lives of our citizens are disregarded."
Sabra also called on Hamas and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) to send reinforcing units to Qusayr, saying "send your troops from Idlib, Aleppo, Deir ez Zor and Raqqa, even if small, to save Homs and strengthen the resistance."
Sabra warned the Syrian people to stay away from "sectarian violence."
Assad forces and Hezbollah militants have been storming attacks for 4 days on the city center to seize Qusayr.
