The Chairman of the Syrian National Council (SNC), Abdulbasit Seyda on Monday visited Syrians staying in Islahiye town of the south-eastern province of Gaziantep.
Tight security measures were taken as Seyda and several members of the SNC arrived in Islahiye to meet with Syrians who fled their country due to ongoing clashes.
Seyda and his delegation talked with the Syrians living in Islahiye.
Speaking to reporters after their visit to Islahiye, a member of the SNC, Burhan Ghalyoun said that they wanted to listen to the problems and needs of the Syrians, to celebrate the joy of Eid al-Fitr and maximize spirituality.
"We are hopeful about the future of 'free' Syria. Victory is very near and the end of the Assad regime is close. We will celebrate the freedom of Syria soon," Ghalyoun stressed.Last Mod: 20 Ağustos 2012, 17:29
