Death count in February from Syria's two-year-old civil war reached nearly 4,000, according to a London-based monitor for human rights.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) said pro-Assad forces killed 3,774 people last month including 421 children and 231 women in their offensive on rebels across the country.

SNHR said Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Dara'a were provinces where the most number of casualties have occurred.
