A Syrian doctor has warned that Syria's health crisis was getting worse with Assad forces targeting doctors and hospitals, ones controlled by opposition forces.
"The health crisis is deepening in country and especially in Aleppo. The Assad regime is targeting both the hospitals and our doctors. There will be an increase in the number of wounded Syrians arriving in Turkey in the coming days as government bombardment continues," Mohammad Vecih, chairman of the Aleppo Chamber of Physicians told the Anadolu Agency earlier this week during a visit in Ankara, the Turkish capital.
Vecih said opposition forces controlled most of the state hospitals in Aleppo but they were not safe from government violence and they lacked medics, doctors and nurses.
"That is why we have set up make-shift home hospitals with limited supplies, medicine and equipment. And many of our doctors have fled," Vecih said.Last Mod: 31 Ağustos 2012, 12:47
