Isa Huso, a member of the Syrian Kurdish High Council, was assassinated in the Syrian town of Qamishli on Tuesday.

According to sources, a bomb planted in Huso's car detonated, killing the Kurdish politician.

Supreme Kurdish council member Aldar Khalil confirmed the death of Huso and said that similar attacks might target Kurdish politicians because of the clashes between the Al-Nusra Front and the Democratic Union Party (PYD), a Kurdish group affiliated with PKK organization.
