Haitham Al-Maleh, a senior member of Syria's opposition and member of the National Coalition, has been "harassed" and detained fort he second time at the Cairo International Airport.

According to the Al Masry al Youm news source, he was detained for two hours following his arrival from London where he had been attending a "Friends of Syria" meeting.

Despite being given permission to enter the country by the Egyptian authorities, a security officer detained him at the airport and used offensive language, addressing him in "a humiliating manner not befitting a man of Al-Maleh's status and age."

The officer reportedly told him, "If you do not like it, you can return to Syria. What are you doing in Egypt anyway?"

After about 2 hours he was released. This is the second such incident to happen to Al-Maleh in Egypt in two months.
