Syrian opposition leaders meet Turkish FM in Ankara

Syrian National Coalition President Anas al-Abdah thanked Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu Wednesday for Turkey's support to Syrian refugees, according to diplomatic sources.

Al-Abdah expressed his gratitude to Cavusoglu in Ankara Wednesday.

Both sides discussed the condition of Syrians living in Turkey, recent developments in Syria and negotiations to resolve the conflict, diplomatic sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak with the media, said.

Cavusoglu also met the head of the Syrian High Negotiations Committee, Riyad Hijab.

Turkey currently hosts 2.7 million Syrian refugees and has reportedly spent over $8 billion on them so far.
