World Bulletin / News Desk

The statements by Assad regime about the conference of Geneva II show that the regime was not appropriate to attend the conference, Syrian oppositions said.

National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces, stating that the regime contradicts with the principles of the conference, said “Regime hasn’t set its attitude for attending the conference yet, and this shows that the regime isn’t competent to negotiate at the conference”. For this reason, international community and Russia have to force the regime to find a political solution, coalition added.

The coalition stated that the UN and Arab League envoy to Syria Lakhdar Brahimi was accusing the opposition for not determining a date for Geneva II, this happens because he couldn’t find a formula that everyone agrees on.

It has been stated that the Conference of Geneva II, which is planned to find a solution for the conflict between Syrian opposition and Assad regime, can’t be held on the determined date because of the statements of Assad on not leaving the regime.
