Syrian army warplanes bombarded an opposition-controlled village in northern Idlib province, killing 10 people and wounding scores of civilians, activists said Monday.
The Syrian Revolution General Commission said in a statement that the shelling took place in Qonaia village in Jisr al-Shughur district.
Among the dead were women and children. The wounded were taken to nearby field hospitals, the statement added.
More than 200,000 people have been killed in Syria since the conflict between Bashar al-Assad's regime and opposition forces began in 2011, according to the UN.
