Libya's Tripoli-backed army said Monday that its forces had arrested a commander of the rival Tobruk-backed army during clashes in southern Libya.
Ali Mohamed bin Nayel, a commander of the Tobruk-backed army, was arrested during clashes with tribesmen in southern Libya, military spokesman Mohamed al-Quwain told.
He added that bin Nayel had been handed over to the Attorney-General in Tripoli.
The spokesman said that the detained commander confessed that he was mandated by the Tobruk-backed army to form a military force with the aim of fighting Tripoli-backed troops in southern Libya.Last Mod: 07 Nisan 2015, 11:03
