Tunisia's Ennahda movement said Monday that it was ready to cooperate with new Prime Minister-designate Habib Essid.
Essid has been officially ordered by Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi to form a new government.
"Ennahda does not have a problem with the appointment of Essid," Abdellatif Mekki, a senior movement member, said.
He added, however, that Ennahda's support for Essid in parliament would hinge on his cabinet lineup and his government's program.
Earlier Monday, Nidaa Tounes, the party with the most seats in parliament, nominated Essid, a former interior minister, to the premiership.
