A Turkish soldier operating inside Syria was killed and two others wounded in a rocket attack blamed on ISIL, the army said on Friday.
The soldier was supporting operations by pro-Ankara Syrian rebel fighters against IS, the army said in a statement, without giving further details or the location of the attack.
The latest death raises to 12 the number of soldiers killed since Turkey began its operation on August 24 to remove IS and other forces deemed hostile from its border area.
Most were killed by IS but one soldier was killed in an attack blamed on the Kurdish People's Protection Militia (YPG).
Ankara has sent dozens of tanks, artillery and hundreds of troops into northern Syria to help Syrian rebels recapture territory lost to IS and halt the westward advance of the YPG.
