A Turkish soldier was killed and five others wounded during the operations in northern Syria as part of the ongoing Operation Euphrates Shield, Turkish General Staff said on Wednesday.
One soldier was killed and five others injured in clashes with ISILterrorists in the al-Bab and Kabr al Mukri regions of northern Syria, the army said in a statement.
The injured were rushed to hospitals in Turkey.
The Turkey-led Operation Euphrates Shield, which began in late August, aims to improve security, support coalition forces and eliminate the terrorist threat along Turkey’s border using Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighters backed by Turkish artillery and jets.
