Two Lebanese soldiers were killed and five were wounded in an Israeli attack on an army post near the southern Lebanese border village of Adaisseh, witnesses and security sources said on Tuesday.

An Israeli helicopter on Tuesday fired two missiles at a Lebanese army post near Adaisseh, destroying an armoured personnel carrier, a security source said.

Israel attacked southern Lebanon in 2006 that that cost Lebanon a heavy civilian toll but failed to defeat Hezbollah guerrilla force on the ground.
