United Nations (UN) World Food Programme is reported to build food markets in Jordan for Syrian refugees.
Dina al-Qasabi, a responsible person for Jordan press bureau of World Food Programme, told Anadolu Agency that groceries would be built to provide food for Syrian refugees at Zatari Refugee Camp, the biggest camp in Jordan.
Noting that shopping coupons had been distributed to the refugees at the camp for two months, Qasabi said, "The refugees will be able to provide their food needs via these coupons given monthly. One grocery was built at first batch. Two new ones will be built in following days as well."
According to the data released from UN High Commissioner for Refugees, number of refugees escaping from the civil war in Syria has reached 515,000.Last Mod: 07 Ekim 2013, 17:32
