Twelve Palestinians, including six children, were injured on Wednesday in an Israeli raid in the northern Gaza Strip, a Gaza Health Ministry spokesman has said.
An Israeli aircraft fired a missile at a motorcycle in the city of Beit Lahia, injuring 12, including six children, Ashraf al-Qodra told Anadolu Agency.
The driver of the targeted motorcycle, however, survived the attack unscathed, he said.
The Israeli army, for its part, said the strike had targeted a group of Palestinians who had been planning to launch a rocket attack on Israel.
The Israeli raid came shortly after rival Palestinian factions – the Gaza-based Hamas and the West Bank-based Fatah –announced an agreement aimed at ending longstanding divisions.
