A second teenager shot by Israeli forces died from his wounds on Sunday, Palestinian medics said, the second death from the same killing on Saturday.
Osaid al-Kaddous, 17, was fatally wounded by Israeli forces in the Palestinian village of Iraq Burin, near Nablus.
Muhammad al-Kaddous, 16, on Saturday died of a gunshot wound to the chest shortly after the two cousins were injured at the protest in Iraq Burin, a Palestinian village south of Nablus. Kaddous had been struck in the head by what a Palestinian medic who treated him said was a live bullet.
Due to be buried later on Sunday, they were the first Palestinians to die in recent weeks of protests in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
"Live bullet"
Medics said, that the Osaid underwent lengthy surgery at a Nablus hospital, but ultimately died of blood loss despite 12 transfusions.
Osaid was transported to a local hospital in a Red Crescent ambulance, medics said, while Muhammad was taken in a private car because Israeli forces prevented an ambulance from arriving.
The Israeli army has confirmed the shooting, but denied live ammunition was used.
However, Palestinian news agency said, "In an X-ray seen by Ma'an, what appears to be a live bullet is lodged in Osaid's skull."
Ma'an added, "In addition, Muhammad's body had an entry wound in the chest and an exit wound in the back. Such an injury could not have been caused by anything but live ammunition, activists said."
