The leader of the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank, Mahmoud Abbas, is reportedly ready to allow 65% of illegal Israeli settlers to stay. The deal, according to the Israeli Haaretz newspaper, will include giving up 1.9% of the West Bank to the Israeli state.
However, the remaining 35% of illegal settlers would have to leave within 3 years. The Palestinian Authority has also demanded a safe land crossing between the West Bank and the Gaza Strip secured by Palestinian security officers and officials.
