"These arrests is a clear evidence that the security coordination between PA and Israel is still going on," Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said in a statement.
According to Abu Zurhi, dozens of Hamas supporters were arrested by the PA security agencies in Hebron when they marched to mark the 27th anniversary of the establishment of the Islamist movement.
"In the same time, the Israeli army destroyed a stage that was due to be used for the anniversary ceremony in Hebron," he added.
No PA official was available for an immediate comment on Abu Zuhri's accusations.
Earlier this week, Palestinian officials threatened to suspend security coordination with Israel in protest of the death of a senior Palestinian official who passed away during an encounter with Israeli army troops that forcibly dispersed a West Bank protest on Wednesday.
The 1993 Washington-brokered Oslo Accords between Israel and the Palestinian Authority made it necessary for the latter to prevent attacks on Israel from the occupied territories and exchange information on security matters.
