Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu on Monday said that Palestine had to be provided with financial support.
Delivering the opening remarks of the OIC Foreign Ministers' meeting ahead of the 12th OIC Leaders' Summit in Cairo, Ihsanoglu indicated that "members of the OIC had to have a strategy in financially supporting Palestine."
The blockade on Gaza will be discussed as a crucial issue at the summit, Ihsanoglu underlined.
"The Islamic world is going through its most sensitive period since World War I. There are many reasons for crisis in and out of the OIC," Ihsanoglu noted.
"We will discuss the developments in Africa and Mali. What is a matter of concern for us is that peace and stability in the region have been fully shaken," Ihsanoglu also said.Last Mod: 04 Şubat 2013, 14:09
