A Palestinian fisherman on Sunday succumbed to wounds he had sustained two weeks ago at the hands of Israeli navy personnel in the north of the Gaza Strip.
Health Ministry Spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra said Emad Salem, 53, was shot by Israel's navy while fishing off Gaza coast.
The family says he was kept on intensive care for several days after he was shot in the bowel, adding that his health condition had initially improved slightly, only to deteriorate later.
Israel has been imposing a full blockade on the Gaza Strip since 2006.Last Mod: 08 Haziran 2014, 12:35
