The Hamas-run government in the Gaza Strip has called on the Palestinian Authority to end a crackdown on Palestinian resistance fighters in the West Bank.
"The security operation in Jenin must stop," Taher al-Nunu, a media adviser of Gaza Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, said on his Facebook page, in reference to an ongoing security operation in the northern West Bank city in which several Palestinians have been arrested.
Al-Nunu dismissed as "a shame" that Palestinian security agencies launch a crackdown that "shares the same goal of an ongoing Zionist campaign in the West Bank."
The Palestinian Authority said the operation aims to impose law and order on the streets of Jenin, but Hamas said it targets resistance groups.Last Mod: 06 Ekim 2013, 16:38
