The Interior Ministry in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday held a military parade to commemorate the first anniversary of an Israeli assault on the coastal enclave in which scores of Palestinians were killed.
The parade, which kicked off in downtown Gaza, wound its way through the streets of the city.
Thursday will mark the first anniversary of the Israeli assault, which began with the assassination of Ahmed al-Gaabari, deputy general commander of the Ezzeddin al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Palestinian resistance group Hamas.
