A Hamas leader has called on the State of Palestine to halt negotiations with Israel following the killing of two Palestinians in the West Bank.

"Israel killed two more Palestinians in the past few hours," Wasfi Qabha told Anadolu Agency.

Two Palestinians were killed by Israeli soldiers in the occupied West Bank in the past 24 hours.

A total of 13 Palestinians have been killed by Israel since the resumption of peace negotiations in July, according to Qabha.

The Hamas leader criticized Israel's insistance on building settlements and what he described as "judaization" of the West Bank.

He also called on Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to declare an "immediate" reconciliation with Hamas and to form a committee to look into recent developments, including the alleged poisoning of late president Yasser Arafat.

Tests conducted by a team of Swiss experts on the remains of Arafat, who died in 2004, showed "unexpected high activity" of polonium.
