Mousa Abu Marzouk, a senior member of Hamas, has warned that Israel is preparing a new strike on the Gaza Strip.
This follows a reported mock exercise conducted by the Israeli military of a four-day occupation of Gaza.
Israeli officials have repetitively said that a new strike on Gaza would come sooner or later, after a planned strike was averted last year after Hamas was able to obtain long range missiles from Iran that could target the Israeli capital city Tel Aviv from the Gaza Strip.
On his Facebook page, Abu Marzouk warned "Any new Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip will not be similar to previous attacks."
He also added, "Occupation leaders will regret any battle they go into in Gaza."
He claimed that the Israeli’s are currently seeking a ‘pretext’ to convince the public that war was justified, and said that no one should blame the people of Gaza for preparing to defend themselves in response.Last Mod: 03 Mayıs 2014, 23:57
