The International Business Forum and Turkish conservative business bloc MUSIAD have issued a joint statement speaking out against the Israeli atrocities against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Condemning the massacre of innocent civilians in the region, the statement said that Israel was committing act of state terrorism on all world religions, holy books and prophets.

The statement, published on Twitter, also slammed Muslim countries for not doing their part to reach out to the people of Gaza.

MUSIAD and the IBF urged the international community to bring an end to the war crimes committed by Israel, calling on the UN to uphold human rights and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to do more to support Gaza.

The Palestinian death toll from Israel's ongoing offensive against the Gaza Strip has risen to 509 as the Israeli army launched fresh attacks on the blockaded enclave, according to a Palestinian medical official.

Since July 7, Israel has been pounding the besieged Gaza Strip with air and naval bombardments with the stated aim of halting rocket attacks.

On Thursday night, Israel stepped up its offensive to include ground operations, sending thousands of troops into the embattled Palestinian territory.

Israel's military operation, dubbed operation "Protective Edge," is the self-proclaimed Jewish state's third major offensive against Gaza in the last six years.
