Israeli military forces detained 17 Palestinians from several West Bank towns in the early hours of Wednesday, eyewitnesses and Israeli media said.
The 17 Palestinians, captured in a wide-scale arrest campaign, have been referred to investigation, Israel's Channel 7 said on Wednesday without disclosing where the detainees were taken from.
However, eyewitnesses said that Israeli forces arrested six Palestinians from Al-Khalil (Hebron), six others from Nablus and two from Jenin.
However, the location from which the remaining three were arrested is yet unknown.
Israeli forces heavily searched the homes of the detained Palestinians, the eyewitnesses asserted.
Israeli authorities have yet to comment on Wednesday's arrests.
Israeli forces routinely launch raids across the West Bank on claims of hunting down "wanted" Palestinians.
According to a recent report by the Prisoners Center for Studies and Research, a Palestinian NGO, there are roughly 5000 Palestinians languishing in Israeli jails.Last Mod: 23 Nisan 2014, 11:53
