Israeli military forces detained six Palestinians from northern West Bank towns in the early hours of Sunday, the Israeli army said.
Four of the six Palestinians were detained in Burqa, Nablus province, and a fifth in Madama, also in Nablus, the army radio reported, quoting unnamed military sources. The report, however, did not say where the sixth detainee was taken from.
The six Palestinians, described by the military sources as "wanted", have been referred to investigation by Israel's internal security agency Shin Bet, the broadcaster said.
Israeli forces routinely launch raids across the West Bank on claims of hunting down "wanted" Palestinians.
According to a recent report by the Prisoners Center for Studies and Research, a Palestinian NGO, there are roughly 5000 Palestinians languishing in Israeli jails.Last Mod: 04 Mayıs 2014, 12:21
