Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad Al-Maliki on Thursday accused Israel of trying to fail the peace process.
In a conference organized by Amedus Institute - a think tank based in Tanca, Morocco - Maliki accused Israel of trying to fail the peace process and said "Dangerous things are happening in Palestine. It is being said that there will be an Israeli presence in Palestine that will judaize the region without Muslims, Arabs or Christians."
Maliki also said, "There are suspicions about Israel's sincerity about the peace process and it is right. By declaring that they are building new settlements they challenge the US, international community and us. This is the way they show their intention."
Maliki believes that Israel will be succesful in its new settlement policy and they cannot be stopped on their judaization efforts on West Bank including the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Foreign Affairs Minister Maliki warned about the consequences of a draft Israeli law that appoints an official from Religious Affairs Directorate in order to remove the concept that Al Aqsa Mosque is a sacred place for Muslims and recognizes it as a holy place merely for Jewish people.
