Israeli forces stationed on the border with the blockaded coastal enclave fired machineguns towards the southern city of Rafah, eyewitnesses told The Anadolu Agency.
The gunfire, he said, had slightly damaged crops in the area.
No casualties, however, were reported.
The Israeli army, for its part, has yet to comment on the reported incident.
Palestinians living in the area say that Israeli border troops frequently fire their weapons in their direction.
Last August, Israel and Palestinian groups signed a cease-fire agreement that ended a seven-week Israeli military offensive on the Gaza Strip.
The onslaught left over 2,160 Palestinians dead and more than 11,000 injured, the vast majority of them civilians.
