A Palestinian man was gunned down by the Israeli army early on Wednesday during clashes between Palestinians and Israeli troops at Al-Ammari camp near Ramallah, a medical source and eyewitnesses said.
"Twenty-two-year-old Eissa al-Qotri was already dead when he arrived at the hospital," Ahmed al-Beitawi, the head of the Ramallah medical center, told Anadolu Agency.
He added that al-Qotri was killed by live ammunition in the heart.
Some eyewitnesses, meanwhile, said a large number of Israeli troops had broken into the camp in the dawn and raided homes, instigating clashes with Palestinian residents.
They added that the Israeli troops used live ammunition and teargas during the clashes with the Palestinians.
Around 40 Palestinians had been killed in the occupied West Bank since three Jewish teens disappeared in the southern Palestinian territory on 12 June.
Israeli authorities had also arrested up to 2,000 Palestinians since the disappearance of the teens whose dead bodies were found by the end of the month.Last Mod: 10 Eylül 2014, 10:20
