Dozens of Palestinians suffered teargas inhalation in clashes with Israeli army troops during weekly protests against Israel's 'separation wall,' which were staged in several West Bank villages on Friday.

Israeli forces used teargas and rubber bullets to disperse protesters in the villages of Ni'lin, Bil'in, Nabi Saleh and Al-Mas'ara near Ramallah and Bethlehem, according to a statement issued by the Popular Resistance Committees, which organize the weekly rallies.

Scores of Palestinians and foreign activists injured in the melee were treated on the spot, the statement said.

In Kafr Qadum village in western Nablus, the Israeli army fired excessive teargas near residential areas, causing a number of local residents to suffer gas inhalation, eyewitnesses said.
