Scores of Palestinians on Friday suffered temporary asphyxiation after the Israeli army used teargas to disperse anti-settlements demonstrations in the West Bank, a Palestinian NGO said.
Israeli forces fired stun grenades and teargas to disperse Palestinians protesting against settlement building and a separation barrier in the occupied West Bank, the Popular Resistance Committee said in a statement.
Palestinians stage weekly protests on Friday against Israel's settlement building and separation wall, which weaves through the West Bank and cuts off large swathes of Palestinian territory.
The weekly rallies are usually forcibly dispersed by the Israeli army.
According to the Palestinian government in Ramallah, the separation barrier cuts some 50,000 Palestinian residents of Al-Quds (occupied East Jerusalem) off from the city center.Last Mod: 26 Eylül 2014, 16:10
