Up to 25 Spanish municipalities and regional governments have endorsed a resolution to boycott Israel.

The Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC) General Coordinator Mahmoud Nawajah speaking to Quds Press that the agreed resolution comes as part of the Places Without Racism initiative which aims to isolate the occupation, its municipalities and institutions.

Nawajah said Spanish municipalities and regional governments had already agreed on an academic boycott of Israel's universities, institutions and research centres, stressing its importance as a step towards comprehensively isolating the occupation.
