Bozdag said that Palestinian nation was a unique nation which was living in their country under occupation and had Turkey’s support by being a legitimate cause.

Turkish Deputy PM Bekir Bozdag said on Friday that the Turkish nation and government have stood by Palestinians due to their legitimate case, adding, "the Turkish nation and government looked on the Palestine issue, as if it is their own, and Turkish nation and government will go on showing this understanding."

Bozdag delivered a speech at the iftar dinner named "Solidarity iftar of Palestinian families and prisoners", which was held by Presidency of Religious Affairs in Istanbul.

President of Directorate of Religious Affairs Mehmet Gormez, Palestinian Ambrassador in Ankara Nabil Maarouf, the Mufti of Jerusalem Mohammed Hussein and some Palestinian families participated in the iftar dinner.

Bozdag said that Palestinian nation was a unique nation which was living in their country under occupation.

Social assistance and solidarity foundation of Turkey and Palestine to be established

Bozdag said at the iftar that they witnessed the establishment of Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation of Turkey and Palestine.

"This foundation, which is very valuable, will be established within the knowledge and approval of PM Erdogan," said Bozdag.

Bozdag emphasized that the foundation would do an important charity work in helping Palestinian families and prisoners.
