A UN human rights committee has completed its annual evaluation of the situation affecting millions of people living in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, where representations were made by civil society organizations, UN representatives and Palestinian officials on of issues affecting the Palestinian and Syrian people in territories occupied by Israel.

A press release by the UN has shown that during a factfinding mission - which took place between 2 to 5 May 2016 - has shown that there has been a significant escalation of violence in the Occupied territories, in particular the period after October 2015.
