The Palestinian Development and Freedom of Press Center (NEDA) announced that freedom of expression was still worrying in Palestine and violations against journalists were higher than the world average in number and nature.

General head of NEDA Musa ar-Rimavi stated some violations aiming at journalists threaten their lives and nobody felt himself/herself in security, a statement published on the Palestinian Information Center's website said.

Rimavi added they were concerned about the lives of journalists who follow peaceful walks and civil actions despite all dangers, and added that these manners of theirs were applaudable.

Violations against journalists in the first half of 2013 increased, the NEDA said and added that 113 more violation incidents were set in that period of time. 78 of them were done by Israeli forces and 35 by Mahmoud Abbas' governmental related security forces in West Bank.
