Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) President Selahattin Demirtas stated that the recordings of a meeting during the Imrali negotiation process between the government and Kurdistan Workers Party (PPK) leaders were leaked by someone within the BDP Party. Demirtas has not yet disclosed a name.

BDP President Selahattin Demirtas indicated that "it is understood that the recordings were leaked from within our party.”

Over Twitter Demirtas said that “The Imrali recordings were not leaked by any of our representatives, we cannot accept that our representatives are being held under suspicion. We have arrived at the conclusion of the investigation we conducted on this issue, and we will share the results with the public on Tuesday at latest.”

Demirtas also expressed that the public officials held captive by the PKK will be released next week.
